Heating RadiatorsControl Valves
Radiator control valves are used on the inlet and outlet of each Radiator for several reasons.
- Room temperature control. (Thermostatic heads)
- System balancing and flow control.
- Radiator control and isolation.
Floor Coil Heating
Radiant underfloor heating has been used for centuries in various countries, and hydronic system technologies available today make it possible to easily install this energy efficient, comfortable and healthy form of heating in your next project. Polymer pipes are installed either directly to the reinforcing mesh in the main structural concrete slab before the concrete is poured, or fixed onto an insulation layer over the concrete slab and then topped with a screed mix. The individual pipe circuits return to a central manifold system, and from there water is recirculated to the boiler.
This low temperature system is compatible with virtually all types of flooring, and because the pipes are hidden in the floor you have complete architectural freedom within the rooms. There are no restrictions placed on location of furniture or wall furnishings, no “hot spots” or forced air and dust being blown through the rooms, and the fact that the entire floor area is providing the radiant heating directly into the lower (occupied) zone of the room means that much lower water temperatures are required and energy is not wasted by heating the air at ceiling height.
